Collection: Maggie Season

The bane of every cyclist in suburbia...

While magpies can be found in many different countries, you can tell these are native Australian maggies because of the white feathers on their necks and their black and white beaks. Plus, they can be pretty terrifying when they're protecting their babies.

A moment of tension has been captured here: the magpies are flying towards the ground, towards a target. What is the target? Who is the target? Does the target know what's coming? What is the objective?

These magpies are inspired by jet planes flying in formation. Line and shape is used to create a sense of movement and speed, while the blue sky was intended to feel like spring, a.k.a. maggie season.
